Hi, Which is the correct spelling for labeling/labelling? I am trying to say "Labelling laws" (normas de etiquetado) I am confused because I have seen it in both ways but don't know which is the correct one: one or two L ? Thanks!

I side with pickarooney on his point about IPA, it's a system introduced to completely avoid ambiguity when talking about sounds yet we're labelling left, right and centre things that are wrong. [j] is not an affricate, however the English ' j ' in ' j udge / j azz' is an affricate, its IPA symbol is [dʒ].

Excellent translation, @Qureshpor jii, as usual, but what the poet is labelled as is immaterial: the lines in the OP are well understood by both sets of speakers, those self-labelling themselves as Hindi speakers and those self-labelling themselves as Urdu speakers.

The OP wanted to know if some words were adjectives. How does disagreeing with your semantics exhibit discourtesy to the OP? As far as I'm concerned, a crying girl and cooking oil contain examples of -ing words used as adjectives. Your terminology may differ, but that difference is one of labelling.

So, are we correct to say "Klan" is a negative connotation when someone uses "clan" in the context of labelling a group of people in a discussion on race or are we being over-sensitive? Based on my experience with people posting on the web, there are many misspelled word.
