When Oracle TDE switches to another master or clone server, the Oracle Wallet closes because of the database restart. To get the TDE master key, the Oracle Wallet must be open. To avoid the need to open the wallet each time you restart the database, configure auto-login.
Oracle Restart is a new feature that provides the ability to monitor, manage, and automatically restart the Oracle components, including the Oracle Database Single Instance, Oracle Net Listener, database services and Oracle ASM.
The Oracle Database agent provides monitoring capabilities for the availability, performance, and resource usage of the Oracle database. You can configure more than one Oracle Database instance to monitor different Oracle databases. The remote monitoring capability is also provided by this agent.
Environment variables are specific preset values that establish the working environment of the gateway. From the environment variable specified, the gateway receives path information for the directories in which library files are present. You must set the following environment variables for use with the Oracle database:
C:\oracle\instantclient_19_9\network\admin Copy the tnsnames.ora file from the database server, update it, and then test the database connection. For more information, see Testing the connection to the OpenPages database from the Oracle database client. Update property files with the new Oracle client directory, C:\oracle\instantclient_19_9.
