There are white, reds, hard and soft wheats - we grow hard red winter wheat in our fields. It’s a great option for the staple breads I make each week. During harvest I will head to the field and climb into the grain cart to load up. I gather a few 5 gallon buckets worth of wheat and it gets us through the years baking needs! Flour only lasts a few months on the shelf at most, but whole wheat berries will store for 30 years!Grinding wheat myself allows me to keep the maximum amount of nutrients p
