Our resident sea turtles are fed a diverse diet consisting of vegetables and protein! This can include lettuce, peppers, cucumber, seagrass, squid, and different types of fish. World's rarest sea turtle species setting new records in Florida during 2024 nesting season

This week, the rarest sea turtle species in the world nested on Brevard County beaches! 🐢 This is a Kemp’s Ridley sea turtle, and they are critically endangered. We get a few per year if we are lucky. They nest during the day and perform a fun dance at the end when they pack the sand in over their nest. If you see a sea turtle nesting during the day in Brevard County, please call The Sea Turtle Preservation Society at 321-626-1701. Also, please take photos, but give the turtle plenty of space.
